Trent Kinkaid joined Elmore, Stone and Caffey as an associate attorney in 2020. He focuses his practice in civil litigation handling a variety of matters. Trent was born and raised in Plainview, Texas and came to Knoxville to accomplish his dream of attending the University of Tennessee.

While in law school Trent served as the Research and Symposium Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law Policy. Trent also earned the Jones Center for Leadership and Service Gold Medallion for his service while in law school. Before Elmore, Stone & Caffey, Trent worked for the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the Homer A. Jones, Jr. Wills Clinic.

During his free time, Trent enjoys playing golf and attending Tennessee football, basketball, and baseball games. He and his wife, Kelsey, have 2 dogs named Scout and Maple.
